Jerry Lee Kellam, 63, of Brown Summit passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022. Born on October 2, 1959 in Greensboro, he was the son of Dorothy Mae Gant Kellam and the late Ralph Thomas Kellam. SFC Jerry Kellam retired after 20 years of service from the United States Army with many awards and commendations. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and loved ones. He was an expert marksmen and loved to shoot. He was an excellent teacher and after a lifetime training and instructing others in jumping from planes, rappelling from helicopters, marksmanship, hand to hand combat, security, and advanced survival skills among many other things, he loved to share his knowledge with others and was often contacted to do so.
Jerry was preceded by his father, Ralph Thomas Kellam.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Kellam; daughter, Lisa Kellam; sister, Connie Kellam; and niece Jenna Stone.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors being presented by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, January 2, 2022 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home.
