Janie loved spending time with her Family, going to the Beach and Mountains. She was a hard worker and provider who enjoyed cooking meals for her family. You could always count on her for anything. Janie was a member of Southside Baptist Church and devoted her entire life to Christ and wanted her family to follow.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Clara Joyce, Husband, Albert Whitaker, Son, Kenneth Whitaker and Daughter, Cynthia Whitaker.
Those left to cherish her memory are Daughters Joyce “Joy” Whitaker, Gale Branson and Grandchildren, Tripp Gaydon, Erik Gaydon, David Branson,Phillip Branson, Diane Collins, Amy Smith, Beth Smith, Heather Clapp, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
A Visitation at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel for Janie will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC, followed by a Funeral Service at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel at 12:00 PM.
