Mrs. Jane Loy Fields, 81, a resident of Greensboro passed away Wednesday morning June 25, 2014 at the Hospice Home of High Point. Mrs. Fields was born July 21, 1932 in Guilford County the daughter of Alfred Monroe and Hannah Mabel Hodgin Loy. A lifelong resident of Greensboro, Jane was an Accountant with her own practice for many years. She was an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and an active member of the North Carolina Society of Accountants. She was a lifetime member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.
She was married to Jack Lewis Fields who preceded her in death on June 23, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Erwin Loy, Sr..
Surviving are her daughters, Patty Fields Cates and husband Rick of Jamestown, Cindy Fields Quiggle and husband John of Sanford; five grandchildren, Ricky Cates, Jack Quiggle, Claire Quiggle, Caroline Cates and Gracie Cates and several nieces and nephews.
A Service to Celebrate Jane’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s United Methodist Church 1304 Merritt Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407 conducted by Reverend Mike Collins and Pastor Steve Roberts. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jane’s memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
