Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Butch was born and raised in Guilford County by Wilbert and Mary Elizabeth Freeman and was of the Christian faith. He was owner and operator of Jim’s Ltd. Paint Contracting Company and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed boating and fishing, but mostly spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Farmer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, James David Farmer (Karen), Michael Anthony Farmer (Geneva), and Gerald Wayne Farmer (LeAnn); Fiancée, Loretta Anast; sister, Rebecca Ann Meetze (Bob); brother, Donnie Freeman (Kimberly); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Monday evening at the funeral home.
