

2022. She has gone to be with her husband of 35 years Arthur Joseph “Artie” Standen II. Jackie was born
on Long Island, New York on 7-24-1932 to Sarah Slavin Bower and Grant Edward Cassell. Jackie was a
loving and doting grandmother to Zachary, Ezekiel and Rachel Lovette, Lugh Arthur, Connor, and
Malcom McLaughlin, Alyssa Standen, Lauren Petrey, Holly, Nicholas and Arthur Joseph Standen IIII and is survived by her five children MaryBeth and husband Mark Lovette, Robin Wright, James Arthur Standen, Kathleen and husband Harry Petrey and Arthur Joseph Standen III. Jackie is also survived by her sister MaryAnn and her two children, son Brian, his wife Julia and their two children, Owen and Paige and her daughter Kelley, her husband Kevin and their son Tanner. Jackie also has one surviving cousin, Donita Catherine Cassell Cooper.
Jackie was known for her beautiful smile, gracious mannerism, charitable heart, and artistic style. Jackie
enjoyed painting, camping, was an avid reader, excellent gourmet, and excelled in anything artistic. She
was a great conversationalist and a true lover of people. Jackie loved food & beverage and had the
reputation for the most delectable social gatherings and festive holiday parties. She was the grand
hostess always catering to everyone’s need.
Jackie loved to travel and had a wonderful time in Ireland with her daughter Kathleen, a grand travel
through Italian wine country, a spectacular cruise through Alaskan waters, a visit with lifelong friends in
Hawaii as well as many other travels throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic
and the Caribbean. Jackie was a “Super Host” with her B&B for ten years and became somewhat of a
worldwide celebrity for her exceptional hospitality. She made friends everywhere she went.
Jackie had a wonderful life and was surrounded by her family in her last months while celebrating her
birthday, the Christmas holidays, and her life with family and friends.
A memorial service is being planned for April 2, 2022 when the “Daisies are in
bloom”.
