Mr. Jack L. Wilson, 91, of Greensboro and formerly of Mt. Airy, NC passed away on February 4, 2022, at Well•Spring Life Plan Community where he resided for the past eight years. He was born on September 2, 1930, in Kannapolis, NC to the late Lester and Felicia Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Guilford College, earned his CPA, and was managing partner with Strand Skees Jones and Co. before starting his own firm later in his career. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the US Army and a Member of Masonic Lodge No. 22 in Alexandria, Va. He was a long-time member of Central United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy and a Paul Harris Fellow member of the Mt. Airy Rotary Club. He was a charter member of Cross Creek Country Club and served on numerous city and county boards during his career in Mt. Airy. He would, however, say his greatest accomplishment was his family as he was a proud, loving, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Steve Fleming of Greensboro and sons and daughters-in-laws, Jack and Sharon Wilson of Taylorsville, NC and Mark and Diane Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC, along with six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, John and Roger Wilson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife, Marie M. Wilson, a sister, Louise Corriher, brothers, Perry, Joe, and Ned Wilson.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Mt. Pleasant, NC on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 1:00pm at Mt. Pleasant UMC Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Benevolence Assistance Fund at Well•Spring Life Plan Community, 4100 Well Spring Drive, Greensboro, NC 27410. The family would like to especially thank the Team Members at Well•Spring Life Plan Community who provided loving care and support throughout his residency.
