Helen W. Edwards

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Muir's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Vance Lowe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery across the street.

Helen was born in Greensboro, NC to the late Oscar Hobson and Ruth Baxter Westmoreland. She was a member of Muir's Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was active in her Circle, sang in the choir, and taught kindergarten for many years. Helen worked for the family-owned heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) business.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hoyt Edwards; and brother, Baxter Westmoreland. Helen is survived by her daughters, Katherine Highfill and Jill Pinto of Greensboro; stepsons, David Edwards (Joan) of Greenville, SC and Thomas Edwards (Sheila) of Greensboro.
