Gloria Jean Peterson, 76, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Thursday December 7, 2023. She was born December 9, 1946 in Hoke County, the daughter of William Glenn and Dorothy Thomas Autry. She worked for over 33 years with Southern Office Supply Co. in Greensboro.
Gloria was married to Stephen Jimmy Peterson who preceded her in death on August 1, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Della Turner and two brothers, William Autry and Raymond Autry.
She is survived by her daughter, Paige Peterson of Greensboro; her son, Todd Peterson of Summerfield; her sister, Rhonda Autry Duffer of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Asia Brown, Jimmy Peterson, Wayne Peterson, Todd Peterson and great grandchildren, Nori Rush, Celena Peterson and Trace Tanner.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Raymond Logan. The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
