Gerald Wade Griffin

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor David Hutton officiating. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 9:00 until 11:00 am that morning at the funeral home, prior to the funeral services.

Wade was born on July 4, 1973 in Oak Ridge, TN. He was a hard worker and great provider for his family. Wade was a Foreman for Breece Enterprises out of High Point and even on those days when his body was really too weak for him to work, he was determined to be there. Wade was a diehard Duke fan and even coached his son and daughter when they played basketball. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. Wade was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wayne Griffin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Kimberly Griffin; son, Jacob Griffin; daughter, Sarah Griffin (Tyler Alley); mother, Mary Duncan Griffin; brother, Toby Griffin; sister, Geraldine Baker (Jason); his “grand-pup”, Tucker; nieces, nephews and other extended family.
