George Carlisle Smith Sr.

Born on March 6, 1941 in Harrington, DE, he was the son of the late Ralph Bradley Smith and the late Pearl Regina Carlisle Smith. George served our country in the United States Marines with 22 years of service. He was a dedicated Marine and served 2 tours during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his two sons, George C. Smith, Jr. and Patrick L. Smith and wife Kathy; two grandchildren, Megan Mattis and husband Matthew and Noah Smith; and two sisters, Jean and Ethel. George was preceded in death by a brother, James Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC. Military honors will be presented by the United States Marine Honor Guard.
