Gary Wayne Johnson, 72, a resident of High Point, NC passed away Wednesday July 3, 2024 at the Hospice Home of High Point. He was born July 8, 1951 in Guilford County, the son of Victor Orville and Cora Marie Cruthis Johnson.
Gary attended Jamestown Elementary School, Allen Jay Elementary, Millis Road and graduated from Ragsdale High school in 1969. From 1972 to 2020, he owned and operated Johnson’s Antique and Furniture Restoration, Inc. He was a true Antique Conservationist with a master’s touch of perfection and quality. His talent will be shared by families for years to come while at the same time will be missed by future generations. Gary was also a talented musician gifted with playing his guitar. He was a lifetime Christian and a member of Spirit of Life Ministries. He was always willing to sacrifice his time and effort for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Eddie Orville Johnson.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Flo Johnson, daughter Rochelle Johnson-Coleman (husband Lee), son Roby Johnson (wife Jennifer), grandchildren Deanna Johnson and Logan Johnson-Coleman, and niece Debbie Bates, along with his beloved puppy “Buddy”.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 11, 2024 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Sedgefield Mausoleum at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday night from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
