Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Ebeneezer Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church before the service.
Mrs. Ashby was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and formerly the L.W.M.L. She was retired from Picadilly Cafeteria. She enjoyed volunteering for Aldersgate Senior Living and especially enjoyed making quilts. Mrs. Ashby was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henri Ashby and her son, Jay Carty.
Mrs. Ashby is survived by her children; Kimberly Hughes (Phil) of Greensboro, Kevin Carty (Patricia) of Acworth, GA, Patricia Ashby of Greensboro, sister, Patricia Borski of Chicago, Ill, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
