Frances Ruth Powell

Services will be held at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel on Sunday October 27, 2013 at 2:00 with Rev. Mark Shelley officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances Powell was born in Erwin, N.C. to the late Leroy and Ruth Pate Crawford. Frances was a member of Shannon Hills Bible Chapel and was a long time employee of Bell South where she was a dispatcher. She enjoyed raising children and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Phyllis Hodgin. She leaves behind her children, Peggy Starnes and husband William, and Marilyn Newsome and husband John all of Summerfield, NC, and Steve Powell of Ocean Isle, NC and Carolyn Powell of Greensboro; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27401 in Frances’s memory.
