Flora Jones Daniels

Flora Jones Daniels passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Hospice Home in High Point. Flora was born on March 4, 1927 in Craven County, the daughter of Zeb V and Clara Caraway Jones. She graduated from Grainger High School in Kinston, NC, attended NC State University and graduated from G.T.C.C. Flora worked with the Guilford County Department of Social Services until her retirement.

She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Flora enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.

Flora was preceded in death by her son, Charlie Daniels, Jr. and brother, Zeb V. Jones Jr. and sisters, Katherine Chestnut and Clara Marsh. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, Charles Edgar Daniels of the home; daughter, Cynthia Daniels-Johnson and husband Keith of Kernersville, NC and daughter-in-law, Patsy Daniels of Trinity, NC; sisters, Grace Jarecki of Bennington, VT and Ann Thomas and husband Bill of Helmut, CA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Loving officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
