On February 17, 2018, Elmer was reunited with his beloved Peggy in the glory of Jesus Christ. He was born on March 15, 1933, in Greensboro, NC, the son of Sam and Emma Marie Francis Hobaugh. He worked at Pomona Pipe Products for 32 years until its closure and then with Carolina Steel until his retirement. He loved to work with his hands and construction projects. He liked to be outdoors and always placed his family first. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Elmer was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy, in 2016. He is survived by his two sons, David Lee Hobaugh of Randleman, NC and Todd William Hobaugh of High Point, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 12:00 p.m., at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
