Dorothy Bare Stanley

Mrs. Dorothy “Dottie” Bare Stanley, 56, a resident of Greensboro died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the UNC-Chapel Hill Medical Center. Dottie was born June 18, 1957 in Greensboro, the daughter of J.D. and Shirley Ann Kearns Bare. She was the office manager for Truck Service of Greensboro and was a member of Southeast Baptist Church.

Dottie was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kearns Bare; her paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Hale Bare and her maternal grandmother, Mary Routh Kearns.

On June 26, 1976 she was married to William Keith Stanley who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to her husband Keith Stanley is one daughter, Megan Stanley Nelson and husband Gus of Randleman; her father, J.D. Bare of Greensboro and her sister-in-law, Lynette Stanley of Greensboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Chris Phelps. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
