Dorothea Ann (Daly) McMullen

She was born in Passaic, NJ on May 1, 1928, to Michael and Sarah Daly. She graduated from Manasquan High School, Manasquan, NJ (1946). She attended FSU and was an auditor clerk for the New Jersey National Guard (1950-1952). She moved to West Palm Beach, FL (1952) where she taught at Palm Beach High School. She met Joseph C. McMullen Jr. and was married July 18, 1953. After the birth of her first child, she quit her job to become a full-time mother and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. McMullen Jr. in 2006. Her father and mother, Michael and Sarah Daly, and her brother, Terence Daly.

She is survived by daughters; Bernadette Spong and husband Rick of Orlando, FL and Renee Hooks and husband Chuck of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Taylor Spong of Charlotte, NC, Halley Petrovski and husband Slav of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK; Megan and Morgan Hooks of Greensboro, NC and her great granddaughter, Eloise Petrovski of Cambridge, UK. In addition, she is survived by her loving dog Rose.

Gravesite service will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Guilford Memorial Park.
