Doris Vaughn Mullinax passed away on December 12, 2022. She was born November 2, 1932 to Hubert Ellis Vaughn and Marjorie Yarborough Vaughn.
She graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in 1951 and married Joseph F. Mullinax, Jr. in 1952. She worked for 41 years at the Sears Catalog Order Facility retiring as Purchasing Assistant.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her youngest son, Gary Alan Mullinax.
Doris is survived by her son Joseph F. Mullinax, III and wife Laura; Grandsons Joseph Travis Mullinax, Richard Blake Mullinax and John Connor Mullinax; Sister Kaye Vaughn Bentley and husband Bill; Brother Gary Ellis Vaughn and wife Barbara.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Guilford Memorial Park Sedgefield Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
