The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010, at First Friends Meeting in Greensboro. The internment service will follow at South Fork Friends Church cemetery, Snow Camp, NC
An Alamance County native, Ms. Clark was born January 26, 1946, daughter of the late Norman and Irene Clark of Snow Camp, NC. She was a 1968 graduate of Guilford College, with an A.B. in Education Studies, and a 1993 graduate of North Carolina A & T State University, with the M.S. in Educational Administration and Supervision. For 37 years she served Greensboro City and Guilford County Schools with dedication and distinction, retiring in 2005 as assistant principal of Summerfield Elementary School. Ms. Clark believed in living her life as a role model for others and in teaching the younger generation lessons of faith and love. She honored the beauty of God’s creation through her lovely home and her beautiful yard, highlighted by pink azaleas.
Ms. Clark is survived by her sister Norma Jean Brande and husband Charles; her niece Dr. Julie B. Earp and husband Dr. Ronald Earp, Jr.; her nephew Phillip Brande; her great-niece Sydney Earp and her great-nephew Michael Brande.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Friends Meeting, 2100 West Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27403; Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405; or to a charity dear to the heart of the donor.
