Donnie “Rooster” Clark, 72, a resident of Greensboro passed away at his home on Tuesday May 21, 2024. He was born September 18, 1951 in Greensboro, the son of Samuel Glenn and Helen Louise Stanley Clark.
Donnie graduated from Ben L. Smith High School. Growing up he loved playing baseball and worked most of his life with A.S.K. Elevator Service where he was a highly regarded elevator mechanic. He cared deeply for his family, especially the beach trips together. He loved playing golf and was a Duke Blue Devil supporter. He was the self-proclaimed “Mayor of his neighborhood”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Bobbie Clark Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Clark; his daughter, Shelly Clark Clemons and husband Scott Clemons of Randleman; his brother, Randy Clark and wife Paulette Clark of Pleasant Garden; his two grandchildren, Trevor and Hayven Clemons of Randleman, nephew Jeff Smith and wife Tracy of Greensboro and niece Cindi Smith of Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 25, 2024 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Jeff Webster. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
