Donald Carter Webb Jr.

Donald Carter Webb, Jr. (50) passed away at his home in Greensboro, NC, on June 28, 2022. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Jamestown United Methodist Church in Jamestown, NC. He was born on January 28, 1972, in Clifton Forge, VA, to Donald Carter Webb, Sr. and Shirley Fish Webb. He attended Covington High School in Covington, VA, and graduated in 1990. He earned a BA in Criminal Justice and Music from the University of Virginia in 1994. While at UVA, he had the privilege of living on The Lawn while serving as the president of the University of Virginia Men’s Glee Club. He was also a member of the acapella group, The Virginia Gentlemen.

Donald faithfully served the city of Greensboro as a police officer from 1996 until the time of his death. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant and was a training officer, mentor and friend to many police officers over his 26 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Carter Webb, Sr. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Fred Holley, his sister, Johnna Webb Pilipchuk (John), and his beloved daughter, Sarah Madalyn Webb (her mother, Kimberly Webb).
