Donald Ralph Johnson, 86, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2023 at Brookdale in Asheboro. He was born September 26, 1936 in Greensboro, the son of John Howard and Clara Pauline Siler Johnson.
He graduated from Walter Williams High School in Burlington and later joined the U. S. Navy where he trained as an electrician. After service he worked with A&N Electric in Fayetteville, Star Electric in Gadson, AL and Pittsburg, PA, Watson Electric in Danville, VA and retired as co-owner of D&L Electric in Greensboro. He was a member of the Civitains.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Donald Howard Johnson and his wife Louise H. Johnson.
Surviving are his daughter, Paula J. Joyce and her husband Richard; his son, Eddie Johnson; his sister, Elmina J. Swain; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday May 7, 2023 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
