A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 12, 2016 at River Landing at Sandy Ridge. The family will receive friends there following the service. A private entombment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum.
Diana was born in Washington, DC on January 7, 1927 to the late Heywood and Elizabeth Fulcher. She spent most of her youth in Waynesboro, GA. Shortly after marrying her husband Ed, they moved to Charlotte until 1969, when the family moved to Greensboro. Diana graduated from Sullins College in Virginia with a degree in Art and she continued pursuing her passion for Art her entire life. She married her soul-mate Ed in 1945 and shared 54 years of marriage before his passing in 1999. Diana was an avid golfer and was a member of Greensboro Country Club. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, loved to entertain, was considered to be a gourmet cook, was a huge animal lover, had a contagious sense of humor and loved and was loved by so many friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Leslie Council of Southwest Colorado, near Durango; and her dear friend Barbara Carroll who provided years of wonderful and caring support throughout Diana’s later years.
