Deborah Spangler Deare

A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.

Deborah was born in Virginia Beach, on April 20, 1954, and was of the Christian (Presbyterian) faith. She received her associate’s degree in business administration and worked as an Executive Secretary for Lucent Technologies, formerly known at AT&T, before retiring. The beach was Deborah’s favorite place to be. She also loved reading in her spare time, was contently looking for ways to improve the family home, doing puzzles with her mother, but most of all, liked spending time with her family. Deborah was a loving a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Boyd H. Spangler.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, John Manfull Deare; daughters, Jessica Deare and Emily Deare (including new son-in-law, Karac); mother, Donna R. Spangler; sisters, Pam Chaney and Becky Terrell; and other extended family and loved ones.
