Rev. David E. Neese

Rev. David E. Neese, 87, graduated to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born on April 26, 1929 in Portsmouth, VA, the son of Roscoe and Ruth Ann Neese. David spent his early years in upstate New York and Annapolis, MD. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1951 and served his country during the Korean conflict. He was a graduate of Guilford College. Rev. Neese pastored Calvary Baptist Tabernacle for over forty years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

David is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mildred Fields Neese of the home; son, Lawrence E. “Gene” Neese and wife Robin of Jamestown, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Neese and Ross Neese; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Neese and Madison Stratton and Hunter Stratton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel and burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
