CYNTHIA FRANCES JOHNSON FARRELL, 81, of Greensboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Moses Cone Hospital. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with declining health for several years.Visitation will be at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Funeral Home, located at 6000 High Point Rd. in Greensboro, on Monday, March 30, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Harvest World Outreach Church, located at 4915 Guilford College Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Cynthia Frances was born in Wendell to the late Ransom and Katie Lee Johnson on March 6, 1934, and was a faithful member of Harvest World Outreach Church in Greensboro. She and her late husband were the former owners of Farrell Pontiac Oldsmobile Buick for 26 years in Morehead City. She loved spending time with family and friends. Most importantly, she spent time reading the Bible and praying consistently for family and others in need. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and serving in her church on the Food Services Team. Other interests included catering, gardening, and watching ACC basketball. She was an avid fan of UNC basketball. She was a loving mother to her children and a devoted sister. She is survived by her four precious children: son Karr Winslow Farrell Jr (Diane) of Washington, DC, Kimberly Farrell Barnes (Rodney) of Greensboro, Kyle Ransom Farrell (Kimberly) of the home, and Karr-Lynn Farrell Johnson (Robert) of Leasburg; sisters: Hunter J. Stone of Rocky Mount, and Sharon J. Little (Billy) of Sandy Cross; six grandchildren: Brandon Karr Wells (Amanda) of LaGrange, Elaine Wells Heath (Chris) of Kinston, Dwight Wellons Johnson of Raleigh, Frances Kate Johnson of Wilmington, Hilary Farrell-Prosnitz (Aaron) of Wellesley, MA, and Margaret Farrell of San Francisco, CA; seven great-grandchildren: Karrson Webster Wells, Rayland Tate Wells, William Braxton Heath, Joshua Bruce Heath, David Carpenter Prosnitz, Elizabeth Farrell Prosnitz, and Sarah Lillian Prosnitz; nieces and nephews, Gina Stone Rascoe (Dawson), Brian Hunter Stone, Jennifer Lynn Stone, and Anne-McKenzie Hopkins (Tyler); and two loving sisters-in-law, Helen Farrell Guthrie of Winston-Salem and Nancy Farrell Davis of Orlando, FL.
