Clyde Green Gentry, Jr., 89, a resident of Greensboro passed away at Beacon Place on Wednesday January 13, 2021. He was born May 13, 1931 in Burlington, the son of Clyde Green Gentry Sr. and Oveida Bookout Gentry.
Clyde worked Lemco Hosiery Mill in Burlington, NC. for many years and later worked with Hunt Electric. A Veteran of the Korean War Clyde served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church.
Clyde was preceded in death on August 16, 2017 by his wife, Anita Dawson Gentry. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Green Gentry and a brother, Johnny Gentry.
Surviving are two sons, Jefferey Duane Gentry and Brad Gentry both of Greensboro; granddaughter, Megan Sartain and her husband Keiffer Sartain of Atlanta and great grandson, Maddox Sartain.
Memorials may be made in Clyde’s memory to All Saints Episcopal Church, 4211 Wayne Rd. Greensboro, NC 27407.
Due to the Covid-19 concerns, and mainly the safety concerns of all during this Pandemic, the family will announce services at a later date in which such time would be appropriate.
