Clarence Edwin Swaim, 82, a resident of Randleman passed away at his home on Friday February 4, 2022. He was born August 15, 1939 in Surry County, the son of the late Ed Vance and Pansy Hemrick Swaim
He was employed with Union Camp/Carolina Container in Jamestown as a driver for 30 years before retiring. He served in the National Guard. Clarence was a member of the Greensboro Moose Lodge #685 where he was a member of the Ritual Staff. He was honored by Moose Heart in the receiving of the Pilgrim Degree on May 25, 1991. He was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Imogene Branch Swaim of the home; two daughters, Deborah Jean Swaim Cox and husband Steve of Reidsville, Cindy Lynn Swaim Brown and husband Steve of Pleasant Garden; one son, Charles “Chuck” Swaim and his wife Susan of Trinity; six grandchildren, Brad Autwell, Barron Autwell, Justin Swaim, Fletcher Swaim, Kristen Hand, Katie Buttke and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Robert Hefner and Pastor Michael Barrett. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Private family entombment services will be held at Guilford Memorial Park Sedgefield Mausoleum.
