Charles “Bubba” Franklin Hudson, Jr., 75, went to meet his Lord and family on Wednesday July 3, 2013. He was surrounded by his family at his home. Charles was born December 29, 1937 in Guilford County the son of Charles Franklin Hudson, Sr. and Bessie Bullins Hudson. He attended Sumner High School and was employed with Guilford Mills for 35 years. After retiring from Guilford Mills he served as a Security Guard with Guilford Security. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Edith Mae Hudson.
On July 22, 1962 he was married to the former Miriam Gail Phillips who survives of the home. Surviving are his wife Gail Hudson; two daughters, Deborah H. Mullis and husband James of Greensboro, Teresa Alexander and husband Mark of Greensboro; three sisters, Gaynell Howell of Greensboro, Dorothy Pegram and husband Richard of High Point, Geneva Dollinger of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Brandon Mullis and wife Erika, Chris Mullis, Greg Mullis, Emily Alexander and two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Sarah Mullis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Donna Moore. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
The family shares special thanks to Drs. Murinson, Kinard, Manning, Gerkins, Jordan and all the staff at the Regional Cancer Center; especially Robin Bass, RN and Hospice.
