Mr. Hill was born November 18, 1928 in High Point the son of Worth Gilbert and Myrtle Bean Hill. He worked for Burlington Industries and later was a driver for United Dairy before retiring. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Marines Corps and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Collins Hill of the home; one daughter, Julia H. Key and husband Jim of Dallas, NC; one son, Robert Hill and wife Sandra of Prattville, AL; one sister, Dot Powers and husband Herman of High Point; one brother, Gilbert Hill and wife Betty of Albuqerque, NM; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel in Greensboro conducted by Reverend Caroll Flack Interment with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
