Charles J. Hecker, 56, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laurel Thompson Hecker; daughter, Jennifer Margaret Hecker; sisters, Janet Price, Joanne Christenson and Maria Dowling; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the FDNY Burn Center, Attn: Dr. Yurt, 525 East 68th St. New York, N.Y.
