Mrs. Catherine Hancock Hoover

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 5 at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens.

Mrs. Hoover was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the Sally Burgess Sunday school class. She was also active in the Senior Luncheons. She was retired from NCNB with 38 years of service. She enjoyed collecting bird figurines.

Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Myrtle McKenzie Hancock, sons, Alan and David Hoover, brother, Wade Hancock and sister, Margie Mendenhall.

Mrs. Hoover is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Guffey, Shirley Hancock Hedrick, brother, Mahlon Hancock and wife, Ellen all of Greensboro, several nieces and nephews, special friends, Donna Fargis and Pattie Ward Miller and all of her friends from the bank.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm St.
