Carol Skeels Kerr

Carol was born on December 12, 1951 in Burlington, NC, the daughter of William H. “Bill” and Norma M. Skeels. She graduated from Williams High School in Burlington and went on to graduate from UNC Chapel Hill. She also attended High Point University. She taught school during her career at Germanton Elementary, Jackson and Ledford Middle Schools. Carol was very active in Jamestown Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and was a member of the Hand Bell Choir. She also participated in the annual Parkinson’s Unity Walk at Jamestown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her father, Bill Skeels of Burlington, NC; sons, Brandon Kerr of High Point, NC, Matt Kerr and wife Lisa of Walnut Cove, NC, grandsons, Jacob and Wyatt, Ryan Kerr and wife Michelle of Great Falls, MT; brothers, Bill Skeels and wife Roxanne of Raleigh, NC and David Skeels of Jamestown, NC

A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Jamestown Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Muse officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, 11350 McCormick Road, Ste. 906 Executive Plaza, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
