She spent her final days in the best of care with the love of Alamance Hospice House.
If you knew her, she was a lively soul who worked beyond what would be a retirement age. Carol loved her career as a nurse/caregiver. Whether a nursing home, the VA Hospital, or home healthcare, taking care of a loved one was her calling. She was a phenomenal cook, baker, and was known for creativity in so many crafts which she was constantly occupied with. She loved making quilts, bears, tapestries, diaper cakes, balloon creations, jewelry and so much more. Her talents were shared with the church, her sisters of The Catholic Daughters, and community, giving happiness to others. It was in fact a selfless love that filled her heart with joy. Carol had a strong will. So many have used the word a real Spitfire. A mother to all. She was an excellent Wife, Mom, Sister, Nana, Great-Nana, and Aunt to the Family. A shoulder you could cry on and an ear you could depend on. She was the glue and very fabric that mended all of us as one. A woman that was courageous and firm in her beliefs. Sarcastic and fun. She most often spoke her mind whether you were ready for it or not. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, in Greensboro. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and again that evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Please join us and celebrate Carol’s life, as she is welcomed into Heaven serving our Lord. Online condolences may be made at www.haneslineberryfhsedgefield.com.
