Carol Ingram Essa

Carol graduated from Grimsley High School with the class of 1977. She was a loving mother of two sons, enjoyed arts and crafts, going to flea markets, walking at the park, and animals. She worked as a rural mail carrier in Gibsonville, NC for nearly 15 years before retiring in 2003 following an illness. Carol struggled with insulin dependent diabetes for most of her adult life.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Kathy) Essa, of Durham, NC and Robert (Marianne) Essa, of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica; two grandchildren, Owen Essa and Kalyana Fischel Essa; her parents Robert and Olivia Ingram of Greensboro, NC; her sister, Lou (Martin) Green; and longtime friend Bill Brown of Burlington, NC.

The funeral will be a private event for immediate family.
