Buddy Warren Frazier, 76, a resident of High Point passed away on Thursday March 30, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital. Buddy was born October 19, 1940 in Wayne, West Virginia the son of Ottis and Minnie Canady Frazier.
Buddy served in the U.S. Navy as a First Class Petty Officer retiring after 20 years of service. He was a Machinist Mate. Following retirement from the navy he worked at the Naval Shipyard in Norfolk, VA at the Naval Amphibious Repair Facility (NARF). He later worked and retired from Burkhardt America in Greensboro.
Buddy loved being and sharing with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid woodworker, having made his own canoe.
He was married to Iva Dean Jones Frazier who preceded him in death on February 18, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Edith F. Folck; his brother, Keith Frazier and sister-in-law, Sun Jones.
Buddy is survived by his daughters, Becky Frazier and fiance’ Scott Wall of High Point, Tricia Burlamachi and husband Al of High Point; grandchildren, Alan, Buddy and James Burlamachi of High Point, Steven Watson and wife Elizabeth of High Point; great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Levi Watson and close and special friends, Ed Edwards and Eileen Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Mike Jefferson. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wayne Beauford and his staff and the nurses on the 6th floor South for the love and care given to Buddy.
