I only knew "Howdy" briefly while I finished HS in State College.  Brian was always the cool dude.  I am really shocked and saddened to hear about this.  I remember reminiscing about HS when I'd come back during Arts Fest.  RIP buddy...

Having trouble finding the words to express my sorrow and sympathy. Brian was the consummate friend and perhaps the nicest guy I've ever known. Slow to anger, easy going, caring, good sense of humor. I truly regret not making it to NC for his "Final 64" gatherings the last few springs. I'll miss him immensely. To Kam and the girls, Brian's mom, brother Paul and the rest of the family, my heart goes out to you. I hope you can find some measure of comfort in knowing how much Brian was loved and respected.

I am absolutely heartbroken for you, Savannah, and Delaney. I haven't seen Brian for years but the way in which people have described him in these messages  is exactly the way I remember him; kind, caring, fun, intelligent, and devoted to his family. My deepest condolences are sent your way and I'm praying for peace and strength for you and the girls. I wish I could be there now to support you as you've done for me in my past illnesses. Know that I'm only a phone call away and that I love and care for you, my dear friend.

My heart is so heavy and I can only imagine the sorrow the family must be feeling at this time. My prayer has been and will continue to be that The Lord is your comforter, your light, and your protector through all of this. During my time working with Brian at KR he was a true light that shined everyday. Always smiling, always willing to help, always with an open door, always with an open heart, always working to make KR IT better. I will forever remember the twinkle in his eye when he spoke of his family, spoke about the girls in college, or told stories  about family vacations. Brian was a blessing to both his family and the KR family. His presence will truly be missed all around. I was fortunate enough to work with Brian for a short time at Kayser Roth.  He was a wonderful person, always willing to help in any way that he could and I knew what a great leader he was when I first met him.  Kayser Roth was fortunate to have him as an employee as he was not just a co-worker - he was part of a family and everybody knew that they could depend on Brian.  I know there are no amount of words that I can say to you to fill the void that has been left in your life.  He left this earth far too early but cherish those wonderful memories that I am sure you have.  My sincere sympathy to all of you in the loss of your caring husband and devoted Dad.

We are all so saddened by the sudden loss of Brian. He was a great friend and co-worker. He would stop to help anyone with a question or problem. He was such a kind, sweet person and always a gentleman. He and I worked together on the last 9 UW golf tournaments, and it was always so much fun. The Fantasy Football draft was always a night of laughs and Brian trying to help everyone stay connected on their laptop. He had such a sense of humor.

We are heartbroken to hear of Brian's passing.  Your entire family and all of Brian's dear friends are in our hearts.  It was my joy to have been a classmate of Brian's: Fun, Kind, added so much to our lives.

To everyone in the Lloyd family I just wanted to tell you that how sorry we are to hear about Brian he was a wonderful person, Great Father and a friend to many, many people we will miss him. The entire Kastner Family will be keeping all of you in our Prayers.

When he told me 'goodnight' on Wednesday, 5/7, I never imagined that I would not ever see him again. I miss my friend, my co-worker, my teacher, my comedian... For 14 years, we sat beside each other, laughed with each other, consulted and learned from each other. I miss him so much that words cannot explain. There is a hole missing in my heart. He was such a good person. A joy everyday that I knew him. It is really hard and words just cannot explain how I feel. To his family, I pray that God will surround you with His peace and sustain you during this time of sorrow.

I was lucky enough to have Brian as a co-worker and later as my director when I worked at KR.  He was so smart and he was so good at teaching what he knew and never held back - if you wanted to know about it, he would teach you and teach you well.  He was also so kind and compassionate, a genuinely caring fellow.  And how he loved his family!  He spoke of Karen and the girls all the time, and with such pride and obvious love.  My deepest sympathy to the family.

I am so very sorry that we have lost such a wonderful husband, father, brother, son and friend. Brian was one of the truly “good guys”, a loving family man and a generous, caring friend that was a treat to be around and who was always focused on making sure everyone else was having a good time. I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying some great times over the years as a guest of Brian, Karen, Savannah and Delaney for NCAA basketball gatherings at the Lloyd house. I am extremely grateful for the times we shared and will miss Brian very much. My prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Karen, the girls and the extended Lloyd family.

We, as everyone else, were totally shocked by Brian's sudden passing. Words simply cannot express the numbness and sadness we felt upon hearing the news. Brian was a very special and unique individual, I will always cherish the many years we spent working together, the many hours we spent golfing together, and the thousands of laughs we shared together. I am still rather numb after hearing about Brian's sudden passing. I knew him almost 50 years and kept in touch pretty consistently over that time. He was a very close friend who will be truly missed.

I have many fond memories of Brian from SCAHS Class of 77 and beyond. Brian will be missed by many. What a terrible loss. My prayers and sympathy are with the Lloyd family.

Brian was a co-worker but, he was really a friend. I will miss his sense of humor, the silly trivia questions, the winery discussions and the fun we had with fantasy football. We have lost a great asset at KR. Just knowing Brian was on the job gave me a sense of security. He was a wealth of knowledge and he always was there to help me when I needed it. My heart hurts for my loss but, I am even more heartbroken for Karen, the girls and the rest of Brian's family.

What a tragic loss. I'm a richer man because of the time we shared growing up in State College and College Heights. Thank you, Brian , for all you gave to me and so many others.

Most of my earliest memories include Brian...running through the neighborhood back yards, learning to ride bikes, and then later playing a lot of sandlot softball, kick the can, etc.  My heart goes out to all of you in Brian's family on the loss of this wonderful, kind man. Kam, we are so saddened by your loss of Brian, and express our deepest sympathies to you, your girls, and the entire family.
I cared very much for Brian, and highly respected him for many reasons.   I'm not sure he really knew how much I thought of him.  He was one of my favorite people.  I now wish I had told him that, but maybe, hopefully, he felt it.  He would have just laughed embarrassingly, and said:  “Aww, c'mon Rieder”.    He always had the impish smile and special laugh.

Brian was a special friend, a great co-worker and colleague and I know he was a very good husband and father.  He was a guy you could always count on for help on the job, or really in anything that came up in life.  I think he's very deserving of all these accolades, and such a tribute, so that everyone who wants to read or hear about him realizes it.   At Harris, and over the years after that, he and I had many fun and enjoyable email exchanges.  He always brought a smile to my face, and I'll never forget that.  He was just a rare person with such genuine qualities, including wit, humor, intelligence, dedication, perseverance, and I could go on and on. He expressed how much he was looking forward to our getting together in Siesta Key.  And I was looking forward to hooking up with him sometime in the near future, when I'd make sure I passed through his home town in No Carolina.   And now, very suddenly, he is gone.  He deserved so many more years, the best years of his life I feel – where he'd see his grown daughters get married and he'd have grandkids, and have the chance to really enjoy the best and most joyous of his golden years.  But, he WILL be remembered and often thought of for all that he was, all that he represented, and all that he accomplished in his life here.

I'll never forget Brian Lloyd.  He is a person who definitely enhanced and brightened my life !  Yes, his life should most certainly be celebrated.  But he was taken FAR too soon from this world !  He will be greatly missed by so many, I'm sure many more than he ever realized he touched.   Most of all, I can't imagine the devastating loss this is to his immediate family.  We can only offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you.

Thinking of you and  your family.  I'm very sorry for your enormous loss.

I've worked with Brian for a very long time at KR. He always tried to plan for when the "big yellow bird" would swoop down and take him. No amount of planning could have prepared me for the sadness and loss I feel.  I will miss his long technical explanations and his sense of humor. He was a great person and I will miss him every day. So thankful God allowed us to cross paths.

I worked with Brian for 3 years and was fortunate to call him my friend, very talented at everything he did, he will be missed by a lot of people but never forgotten.
