Brenda was born on September 26, 1943 in Leaksville, NC, the daughter of the late E.J. Gatewood and the late Iris Inez Shumake Gatewood. Brenda was a devoted mother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and frequent trips to the beach.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jennifer McFarland Conder, Edward McFarland, and Eric McFarland and wife Hope; sister, Carole French; three grandchildren, Alexandria Conder, Kayleigh Logan, and MacKenzie McFarland; two great grandchildren, Aubri Logan and Madyson Logan.
