Betty Reid Moore

Betty was born on February 6, 1946 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of Bud and Mammie Perdue Reid. She worked as a Banquet Chef with the Four Seasons Hotel. Betty was an active member of the Central Assembly Church where she served on many church committees and activities.

Betty was a loving mother who always put her family first. She loved them deeply and she will be deeply missed by all.

Betty is survived by her two sons; Gary Moore and wife Beth of Greensboro, NC and Joel Moore and wife Colleen of Stokesdale, NC; grandchildren; Gary Moore Jr., Logan and Lance Moore; one brother, Walter Reid and wife Sue of McLeansville, NC and nephew, Norman “Butch” Reid of Greensboro, NC and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Betty’s life will be held on Monday, Sept. 29, 2:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
