Betty Sue McIntire, 78, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born on April 18, 1928 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of Hoyt and Jewel Drake. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching TV, and always enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play ball. She was a loving a wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friends to many. She will be deeply missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, L.P. "Mac" McIntire and her sister, Ruth Hicks. She is survived by her three sons; Dan McIntire and wife Beverly of Virginia Beach, VA. Terry McIntire and wife Laurie of Camden, NC and Greg McIntire and wife Pamela of Greensboro, NC; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, 1:00 pm at Guilford Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408. Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel is assisting the McIntire family.
