Betsy Lynn (Matthews) McNeill

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Mt. Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Broadway, NC. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.

Betsy was born on February 9, 1948 in Sanford, NC to the late Levie and Johnsie Matthews and was of the Presbyterian faith. Before her health started to fail she enjoyed working in her yard, was an avid Bowler, enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and playing cards. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Landon C. McNeill, Jr. and two siblings, Judy Johnson and Tony Matthews.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Dana McNeill and Tracy Lowe (Mark); step-children, Clifford Wheeler (Meloney) and Michelle Ferguson; grandchildren, Sarah Ferguson, Garrret Wheeler, Kailey Lowery, Landon McDowell and Riley Lowe; siblings, Randy Matthews (LeeAnn) and Tim Matthews (Nikki); and other extended family and friends.
