

Bertha was born in Wilson County, NC to the late Luther and Josephine Webb. She was raised on a farm in a large loving family. She married the love of her life, Webster on April 9, 1939 and they were married for 56 years before Webster passed away in 1995. Bertha was employed with Sears and then Montgomery Ward for 26 years. She was also an excellent seamstress.
She was a long time member of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church where she was a member of Circle Two. Bertha enjoyed reading, attending plays and going on trips with her daughters. She loved butterflies and angels. She cared deeply for her family and was a wonderful example of love, strength and honor.
She was preceded in death by brothers Lloyd and Marvin Webb and infant sister, Doris Nell Webb. Surviving are her daughters; Joyce Harris (Bob) and Lory Dobbins (Fred) of Greensboro, NC, Wanda Wells (Larry) of Seven Lakes, NC and her son, Webster Williams (Frank) of Asheville, NC; brothers, George Webb of Wilson, NC, Floyd Webb of Elm City, NC and Braxton Webb of Montgomery, AL and sister Roxie Harrell of Wilson, NC, sister-in-law, Adele Medlin of Rocky Mount, NC; five granddaughters, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jo Owens and Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church.
