Bennie Swain

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William C. Stedman and her second husband James Burton Swain, Sr. and her stepson J. Burrton Swain, Jr.

Bennie was a graduate of Women’s College (UNCG) and was a talented watercolor artist, sharing her work generously with her family and friends. She received many awards for her talent.

Surviving are her daughter, Cappi Stanley; son, William C. Stedman, Jr.; grandson, William Carson Stanley; stepson, James Norman Swain; and her step-grandchildren Martha Swain and Burton Swain.

A celebration of life service will be held on August 26th at 2:00 pm in the Richardson Auditorium at Well Spring. The family will be greeting friends and relative immediate following the service.

Bennie’s family especially thanks all the healthcare personnel at Well Spring who cared for her with such compassion and kindness.
