Alex Kenji Rashid

Alex Kenji Rashid passed unexpectedly surrounded by his family on October 22, 2015. At 13 months, Alex's life may seem short, however, the amount of joy he brought to his family and all of those he met far exceeded his time with us.

He spent his days playing with his older sister Ava, exploring, and teaching his family a new love. Sweet to his core, he did no wrong. He is his family's heart and soul giving them all the best year of their lives.

Alex's life is one to be celebrated and cherished. His beautiful smile and kind demeanor will be missed every day and not forgotten.

Alex leaves behind many wonderful family members and friends who he has touched permanently. His heart extended to everyone he met.

He is survived by his loving parents, Mustafa and Huong Rashid; his sister Ava Lien Rashid; his maternal grandparents; Son Dang and Sam Tran; his paternal grandparents; Said and Michiko Rashid; his uncle Hai Dang and aunt Trang Trinh with cousins Emma and Ethan Dang; his aunt Sarah Rashid; and many additional aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27 from 6-8pm at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 North Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28 at 9am at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410.
