

He was retired from Tennessee Dept. of Transportation after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church, VFW, Moose Club, and had been a Mason for 40 years.
He served 2 years with the Navy, including his time in World War II in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Teague is survived by his wife of 59 years: Trixie Shaw Teague; verbally adopted daughter and son: Jimmy and Meary Peters; brother and sister-in-law: Jerry and Louise Teague; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Shirley Hulse, Joyce and Basil Blankenship, and Laura and Dave Ellis of Nashville; special friends: Rick Dyer, Janie and Randall Knipp; sister-in-law: Jill Heck of Hickory, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a son of the late Walter and Edith Teague and was preceded in death by a son: Michael Teague; brother: Claude Teague; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Hobert and Bertha Shaw.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Reformation Lutheran Church with Pastor Rick Ohsiek officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church Wednesday for the funeral service.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Greene County Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy Military Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service.
His pallbearers will be Gerald Swan, Rick Dyer, Rick Garber, Al Waddell, Randy Vanover, and John Reed.
Edward Teague, David Teague, Kress Heck, Kim Heck, special caregivers: Kristen, Rita, and Trish of Advance Home Health Care, and Dr. Tom Beckner, MD will serve as honorary pallbearers.
