William Henry Dyer

He was retired.

Mr. Dyer was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Maliene Wills Dyer; two daughters and a son-in-law: Linda Dyer of Rockford, Illinois and Karen Sue and Dean Buchholz of Shabbona, Illinois; son and daughter-in-law: William Michael and Jill Dyer; five grandchildren: Jason Koroll and wife, Erin, of Portland, Oregon, Kevin McCoughey of Rockford, Illinois, Ashley McManus and husband, Sam, Brice Dyer of Florida, Morgan Buchholz of Shabbona, Illinois; great grandchild: Brady McManus; and several nieces and nephews

He was the son of the late Charlie and Cora Dyer and was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters: Jack Dyer, Helen Potter, Jodi Carpenter, Hazel Potter, Charles Dyer, Violet Wells, and Lucille Seals.

The family will receive friends from 5pm-8pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sterling Nelson and Rev. Larry Moore officiating.

Interment will be 10am Monday at Solomon Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30am Monday to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.

Pallbearers will be Benny Effler, Gary Alsop, Jerry Denton, Glenn Malone, Adam Demillo, Morgan Buchholz, Brice Dyer, and John Darnell.
