He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was an active member of Greeneville Lodge #3, the Greeneville/Greene County Shrine Club, and the Kerbela Shrine Temple. He was a long-time member of Glenwood Ruritan.
Bill retired from Dillard Smith and was employed by Hal Henard Convenience Center.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Reva Roark; son and daughter-in-law: Johnny and Dora Roark of Mosheim; daughter: Rose Webb of Greeneville; grandchildren and their spouses: Sabrina and A.J. Clemons, Randall and Chelsie Webb of Mosheim; great grandchildren: Brooklynn and Savannah Clemons of Mosheim; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Robert “Press” Roark and Joe and Mary Roark, all of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rosa Roark; four sisters; three brothers; and an infant son.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Following visitation, a Masonic Service will be held at 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Fain and Rev. Don Petty officiating.
Interment will be in Hartman’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Edward Seay, R.J. Wilkerson, A.J. Clemons, Josh Myers, Tim Armstrong, and Milton Orr.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Greene County Shrine Club, Kerbela Shrine Temple, Glenwood Ruritan, and Greeneville Masonic Lodge.
