He retired from Magnavox after 40 years of service.
Mr. Fillers was a member of First Baptist Church Deaf Ministry.
Survivors include a son and two daughters-in-law: Bert Willard and Dorothy Fillers of Limestone and Shelby Fillers of Chuckey; two special grandchildren and spouse: Tracy and Dale Dodds of Greeneville and Eric Fillers of Kentucky; two great grandchildren: Jayden Fillers of Kentucky and Dylan Dodds of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Fillers; son: Jerry Fillers; parents: Hubert and Sarah Wilhoit Fillers; brothers: Hubert Fillers Jr., Jasper Fillers, Robert Fillers, Foster Fillers, John Fillers, and Kenneth Fillers; and sisters: Charlsie Fillers, Carrilea Cutshall, Mildred Holt, Ruth Morrison, and Alma Fillers.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Ragon officiating.
Interment will be at 12:00 pm Saturday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 11:30 am at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric Fillers, Jayden Fillers, Dylan Dodds, Dale Dodds III, Jimmy Ricker, Richard Baskette, Wayne Ricker, and Craig Fillers.
