She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She was an avid gardener; one of her greatest joys was decorating for the holidays and spreading love. She was known for her handiwork in the kitchen and was particularly skilled in her candy making. She was a fierce woman of the Lord and a day rarely passed that a Bible wasn’t in her hand. Virginia was the rock of her family and everyone around her knew they were loved.
Embodying it in every way, she was considered “Mama” by everyone in her family.
Virginia is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ramsey and Joy and Gary Black; two granddaughters, Kimberly Ramsey and Keya Collins; four great granddaughters, Erica Ramsey, Steffany Fox, and Hannah Collins and Kenna Collins. Also surviving is one great grandson, Brayden Collins; several special nieces, nephews and friends as well as her two special fur babies, Fancy and Sweetie.
She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hannah Coakley and was preceded in death by her husband, Emmette Ramsey as well as two brothers and five sisters.
There will be no formal visitation, there will be a graveside service at 2 pm Sunday where she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Emmette at the Ramsey Family Farm.
Pallbearers are family and friends.
