He retired from Plus Mark with over 30 years of service.
Mr. Johnson was of the Baptist faith.
Van was good-hearted and was full of fun.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters-in-law: Phillip T.and Myra Johnson of Greeneville and Eugene and Brenda Johnson of Midway; a niece: Suzanne Shults and husband, Travis, of Greeneville; three nephews: Derrick Johnson and wife, Amanda, Daniel Johnson and wife, Kasey, and Devan Johnson, all of Midway; uncle and aunt: Ralph and Lois Johnson of Canton, North Carolina; aunt: Elmina Johnson of Greeneville; several great nieces and great nephews; and special friends: Joe Crum and Julie Crum.
He was the son of the late Clarence and Juliet Johnson.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Bible officiating.
Interment will be at 11 am Tuesday in Warrensburg Methodist Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Johnson, Devan Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Matt Crum, Zac Crum, James Linebarger, Bobby Linebarger and Travis Shults.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
